Credit Where Credit is Due This site is a labor of love and would not exist if everyone involved did not work so hard. This page is our way of saying "THANK YOU" to all of you who have made this happen.
Credits, Thanks and Acknowledgements are divided into the following categories:
Writers, Photographers, Contributors
Technical Contributions and Inspiration
The weather forecast is brought to you by AspNetResources.com, a site dedicated to making the web a better place. Like Sleepless In Charlotte, AspNetResources.com is a labor of love and exists not to make money, become famous or whatever, but to help spread knowledge of things that the author(s) want to know.
The SinCLT logo, as well as most non-photographic images, graphics, layout elements, and the appearance of this site are provided by or based on original designs by John Tkach of Hexstream Media. However, certain liberties have been taken with his designs and certain changes and variations have been applied, generally without his approval. So we'll say this: if it looks good, John did it. If it looks bad, we did it.
Unless otherwise noted (hopefully on this page), most coding/programming/labor was donated by Sirsha Development Resources and was encouraged and inspired by all of those who have with them, for them, before them, and otherwise influenced them.
To those who have fought tooth and nail to make Charlotte a better place, day by day, night after night, we thank you for your hard work and dedication to the good cause in the face of adversity and indifference. Some of you have made it through but those who have not, your absence has inspired us more than anything else and the spirit of what you started is our guiding light in what we hope to carry on.
Backend Mechanics
This site is currently an ASP.NET 1.1 site that relies heavily on the follow technologies: Paul Wilson's MasterPages architecture is integral to this site. SinCLT will almost definitely be ported to ASP.NET 2.0 when it is released but, thanks to Paul, we have had MasterPages technology for over a year. Paul Wilson is a fine developer regardless, but his contributions to ASP.NET developers has enabled us all to "stand on the shoulders of giants" and build on what he has learned.
Much of the "back end" of this site is based on LLBLGen Pro. We worked with several O/R Mappers and Code Generators before settling on LLBLGen Pro. The software works with you and for you, with codegen flexible enough to produce the code you want yet powerful enough to be our favorite "out of the box" O/R Mapping solution. LLBLGen Pro is not free and we were not compensated for this endorsement. This is only here to help you save time, money, and energy.
